The Source IDF Military Canteen 2.5 L is the official "water bottle" of the Israel Defence Forces. It consists of a WXP 2.5 L hydration bladder, drinking tube, storm bite valve and an insulated carrying bag with carrying strap. The bag does not have shoulder straps - It is designed to be carried in vests and backpacks.
The Source WXP Hydration System is a high performance hydration system. Exclusive 3-layer coextruded polyethylene construction for pure water taste and increased reliability. Includes drinking tube and Storm valve. Storm valve features an angled, leak-proof pull valve with special high liquid flow that provides a straw-like or water bottle drinking experience. Ideal for below freezing temperatures (Patent No. 6,622,988 US). It can be easily disassembled for cleaning. The valve cap protects against contamination during transport. The Source drinking hose has an insulating woven hose cover with UV protection.
Widepac Closure (U.S Patent No. 7,648,276,B2) - The user-friendly Widepac™ Slide Closure is sealed airtight and allows easy refilling and cleaning through the wide opening. Most SOURCE hydration systems are equipped with the Widepac™ Closure System.
Taste-Free™ System - SOURCE's co-extruded PE film encloses the liquid without giving off plastic taste to it. Of course, SOURCE Taste-Free film is free of BPA and phthalates.
GrungeGuard™ Technology - Thanks to Grunge-Guard technology, the surface of the hydration bladder inhibits the growth of bacteria efficiently, effectively and throughout its lifetime. The technology is based on antibacterial materials - so-called anti-microbial agents - with FDA approval and EPA registration.
Glass-Like™ Technology - The hydration system is virtually self-cleaning thanks to the SOURCE Glass-Like film. The surface of SOURCE hydration systems is 2000% smoother than a conventional PU film. This makes the surface almost as smooth as glass. The smooth surface prevents bacteria from settling and biofilm from forming.
Easy Care & Low Maintenance - The benefits of Glass-Like™ technology combined with Grunge-Guard™ technology represents a new generation of drinking systems where cleaning is no longer a problem. Simply fill with water and drink, again and again. Water stays fresh for days and even weeks.
